FAQ

How the sum is worked out

Are these real entry fees? No. They are starting points we chose to show the shape of a budget, from a one-day local to a several-day major. Organizers publish their own fees on their entry forms and they differ a great deal, so replace ours with theirs.
What counts as an entry?Whatever the organizer charges a fee for. Some charge for each dance, some for each multi-dance event, and many add a scholarship or championship fee on top. Count entries the way the entry form does.
Why is my teacher's fee separate? In Pro/Am you dance with your teacher, who usually charges a fee for each entry and often shares the cost of getting there among their students. Those can add up to more than the entries themselves, so they get their own lines.
Does DanceFlow run competitions? It can: online entries, Pro/Am partnerships, heats, marks and results. A studio also uses it to plan a season, with each trip's entries, the teacher's fees and the share of travel on one bill. DanceFlow is not NDCA-sanctioned.
